About Jhongli City

Jhongli City is located in the heart of Taoyuan County, and became the CBD of southern Taoyuan and the center of Hakka people in northern Taiwan. Jhongjheng Park, Yuan Guang Temple, and Jen Hai Temple are all good places for relaxation and worship.


Taiwan uses electric current of 110 volts at 60 cycles. Many buildings have sockets with 220 volts especially for the use of air conditioners. It may be useful to bring along a plug converter and a 220/110 volt transformer.

Tap water is drinkable, but drinking unboiled water is not recommended. Most hotels provide boiled drinking water. Bottled water is easily available at convenience stores and supermarkets.

Currency and Banks

The official unit of currency in Taiwan is the NTD, and others are not used.
Most banks are open from 9:00am to 3:30pm.
